Searching for the right role can be overwhelming at times. We understand that as a candidate and potential employee you want to know all the information to help you better understand if Vantage is the right place for you.

Throughout the hiring process, we will aim to keep in touch and inform and guide you through every step of the way. We aim to treat every candidate fairly and with respect ensuring we keep the process transparent and efficient as possible.

1 Online application The first step to getting the role you want So you have read the advert, researched the business and now you are excited to join us! Great. Our application is really simple and should only take 5 to 10 minutes. You will be asked to provide an up to date cv and telephone number. Ensure these details are complete so we can make contact with you. If you need more information on how to complete this, please visit our FAQ section below.
2 CV review Make your first impression count After submitting your application it will be reviewed by the hiring manager. When reviewing applications we look for transferable skills, the experience you have gained and any qualifications that are relevant for the role.We understand that cv’s do not always give the full picture so try to be as relevant and detailed as possible. As an employer, Vantage is committed to equality and valuing diversity within its workforce and we accept applications from all sections of the community.
3 Telephone chat We want to find out more If successful from the CV sifting review you will then be booked in for a telephone chat. This would normally takes around 10 – 30 minutes dependant on the job role and will usually be with the hiring manager. Questions are usually centred on your cv and the job role you have applied for. This is also your opportunity to ask us any questions and find out more about us.
4 First stage interview It's good to meet you After conducting the telephone chat our hiring manager will let you know if you have been selected to attend a face to face interview, this will take place in one of our dealerships. Not only so we can see that you are the right fit for Vantage, but you can understand if the environment is right for you. The interview will be a competency based and should roughly last 45 – 60 minutes dependant on the job role.
5 Second stage interview It is time to shine Congratulations on being shortlisted, you’ll be invited back for a second interview to meet with a key person in the business area relevant to your role. In this interview, depending on the position you’re applying for, you may be asked to complete a relevant task or prepare a presentation, but we will give you more information around this and plenty of notice to plan in advance.
6 Offer Congratulations, the job is yours If you have been successful through the entire hiring process, we will then contact you verbally to offer you the role. It's our turn to be nervous now. We have offered you the job, but it is up to you to accept it. We’re hoping you say yes! At this point please ask any questions you feel you need the answers to, so you can make an informed decision.
7 Pre start Congratulations on your new job We are looking forward to you joining us. After accepting the job, we’ll be in the background making sure everything is ready for you to begin your Vantage journey. You will be sent your offer letter along with a pre –employment form which you will need to complete and send back to us before you start. 8 First day We like to give you the warmest welcome We know that your first day can be a mix of excitement and nerves but our managers and your new team members will ensure you quickly feel at home. Everyone’s first day will look slightly different depending on which role you are starting in but our aim is to ensure you are introduced to your new colleagues and know your way around the centre…make sure you find those secret stashes of biscuits!
