Revealed at the Detroit Motor Show at the start of the year, Kia have given us a glimpse at the All-New Kia Stinger, their first model it the GT segment of the market. The car features a head-turning aesthetic, room for five people plus their luggage and nimble handling with the option of rear wheel drive or all wheel drive.
A bold exterior feature Kia's signature Tiger Nose Grille, angular headlights and sleek lines, the Stinger has a strong and athletic presence.
The interior is intimate but spacious. Minimal design yet luxurious. The cocoon-like interior features aircraft-style vents, metal-ringed gauges with red details, and a satin chrome trim.
“The Kia Stinger is a true gran turismo, a car for spirited long-distance driving. It’s not about outright power, hard-edged dynamics and brutal styling, all at the expense of luxury, comfort and grace. The Kia Stinger has nothing to do with being the first to arrive at the destination – this car is all about the journey. It’s about passion.” Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer at Kia Motors Europe.
The Stinger reflects the latest technology and infotainment systems. Bluetooth is standard across the range and the top spec will also have a wireless smartphone charging pad located in the centre console. A height-adjustable Head-Up Display (HUD) enables the driver to see key driving information reflected on the glass of the windscreen, including speed, turn-by-turn navigation guidance, audio, cruise control and Blind Spot Detection information, so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. The stinger is also available with an optional Smart Power Tailgate system, this detects if you are stood near the boot for 3 seconds with your smart key and will open automatically. Perfect if you have your hands full.
