Mazda Oldham hits the road on Mission Christmas

Vantage Mazda Oldham are proud to be hosting a series of festive initiatives to raise money for Cash For Kids’ Mission Christmas appeal and to support people in the local area.

The team at Mazda Oldham will be lending their hands to help Father Christmas himself who will be chauffeuring the Mazda MX-5 ‘Santa Sleigh’ which is delivering early Christmas gifts to lucky local residents.

Alongside this the team will be collecting toys for children aged 0-18 who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect, in partnership with Key 103 radio as part of its Cash For Kids Mission Christmas campaign.

Mazda Oldham is also hosting a free Christmas party for customers and locals from 4-8pm on Friday 9 December where guests can enjoy mulled wine, mince pies and turkey sandwiches.

David Syddall, Sales Manager at Vantage Mazda Oldham, said: “We wanted to build upon the family feel at Mazda Oldham and the Group by giving something back and raising spirits in our local community, adding to the festive feeling.

“Growing up, car dealerships used to use their local influence to support their communities throughout the festive period and this is something we want to bring back. It’s not about selling cars but bringing the community together and giving disadvantaged children and locals something to unwrap and enjoy this Christmas.”

According to Key 103’s Cash For Kids campaign, one in three children are living in poverty across Greater Manchester. In 2015, the campaign raised £2 million through donations and gifts which went to supporting 51,500 children across Oldham and the North West. Mazda Oldham is hoping its contributions will top that figure this year.

Vantage Mazda Oldham will be accepting any new gift donations until the 18 December.
