Vantage Kick-Starts partnership with Bushido Martial Arts Association

Bushido Martial Arts Association, run by a team of dedicated instructors and founded 26 years ago, is an entirely self-funded organisation, with their many members (ranging from 11-55) regularly fundraising to raise enough money to keep competing. The team is hugely successful, winning medals every year at the WKC World Championships, as well as over 700 national titles.

Here at Vantage, we appreciate dedication and team work so when Chief Instructor, Master John Robertson, approached our Stockport Hyundai team and asked us to sponsor the team, we were more than happy to agree. Vantage Hyundai Stockport's contribution has enabled the Stockport-based martial arts team to kit themselves out with a Hyundai branded Jiu-Jitsu uniform and Vantage branded tracksuits and bags as well as helped towards travel costs for members to attend the next WKC World Championships in Portugal in November where the team are hoping for lots more success!!

John said: "Everyone at Bushido Martial Arts Association is extremely grateful to Vantage Hyundai for supplying us with much-needed kit and also for helping us to compete on an international level. Some of our younger members are from less privileged backgrounds and taking part in martial arts is a great way for them to learn about discipline and respect. New, branded kit is important to our progress as a club and gives members a sense of identity and team spirit. We head to the World Championships in November and will be flying the Vantage flag for Stockport the entire way!!"

Paul Sharp, Centre Principal at Vantage Hyundai Stockport, said: "We are always delighted to be able to support local clubs and businesses but the partnership with Bushido Martial Arts Association is particularly exciting. To be able to give back to the community and support Stockport's very own, world-beating martial arts club is something we're very proud of and we wish the team the best of luck in the World Championships next month."

From all of us here at Vantage, Good Luck for next month!

Team Update

The WKC Championships were a huge success for the Bushido Shoguns winning a staggering 70 medals (10 Bronze, 20 Silver and an amazing 40 Gold medals) - 10 Gold Medals were won by Leah alone! This gives the team 40 World Titles and the team are already working flat out to qualify for places on the England team in 2016.

We're so proud of you all! Congratulations from all of us at Vantage.
