CORE Plant Ltd welcomes the Corolla Commercial to their low-carbon fleet

CORE Plant Ltd has recently highlighted the ease of developing a low-carbon fleet with their latest additions- eight Toyota Corolla Commercial self-charging Hybrid vehicles for delivery early next year. Toyota Leeds was proud to work with CORE to find the ideal fleet solution for their needs and source the vehicles.

Andy Preston, CORE's Director who test drove the new vehicles has said:

"It is very car-like to drive, the self-charging Hybrid power means it is incredibly efficient to run and doesn’t require plugging in overnight, either!"

The Corolla Commercial is designed to be an efficient fleet vehicle, combining capability with reducing environmental effect; Toyota's fifth generation Hybrid engines provide high fuel efficiency with low emissions, in addition to the ability to drive on pure electric power in EV mode. The Corolla Commercial Hybrid was also designed, developed and produced in the UK at the Toyota Burnaston car plant, reducing the air miles of the vehicle and environmental cost of receiving it.

It has Toyota Safety Sense as standard, including driver attention alert, lane assist and hill- start assist but also all the comforts you'd want in your own vehicle, such as an 8” Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system, heated seats and smartphone connectivity.

Financially the Corolla Commercial is an excellent addition due to the reduction in average fuel costs thanks to the time spent in EV mode and great offers currently available on the vehicle.

Our Leeds Centre will continue to offer support to CORE with their new vehicles and we look forward to watching their low-carbon fleet grow in the future.
