Meet the Vantage Honda Team in Barnsley

Centre Principal: Ian Marchant

Ian Marchant, Centre Principal at Honda Barnsley, joined the Vantage family in January 2016 as part of the New Year acquisitions. With 32 years in the industry, Ian is certainly a valued and extremely knowledgeable addition to the team. He thoroughly enjoys working for Honda because he believes they are a great brand as well as a fantastic team to work with.

In his spare time, Ian is a very proud father and enjoys watching his daughters compete. His eldest daughter Amy rides horses in Competition and his youngest daughter Katy is a Sprint cyclist for SKY and is currently an impressive UK Number 1 and World Number 6. Ian is looking forward to watching Katy ride in the 2016 Olympics as part of Team SKY GB!

A lot of people don't know this, but Ian successfully raced motorcycles and won three British Championships! 

Sales Manager: Mark Ogden

Mark Ogden

Sales Manager and Motability Expert Mark Ogden has an invaluable 28 years of industry experience under his belt. Mark is a core member of the Barnsley Honda team, having worked at the centre since 2002 and helping to ensure a smooth transition to Vantage Honda in 2013.

He enjoys working for Honda as he knows that the company produces some of the best quality vehicles on the market which allows him to be confident that he his helping his customers buy excellent and extremely reliable cars. Through his years working for Honda, Mark's favourite car of the range was the Accord for its smooth, and responsive controls which make it effortless to drive.

Aftersales Manager: Saul Brook​​

Saul Brook is the Aftersales Manager for Honda Barnsley starting in April 2016 before being promoted to Aftersales Manager in 2017. Saul actually started his career with an apprenticeship at Vantage Toyota Wakefield as a technician. He's been in the industry since he was 16 and has worked his way up the ranks to where he is today.

Saul says he enjoys working for Vantage Motor Group because of the way in which everyone is treated, both staff members and customers, everyone is valued. He enjoys working at Honda Barnsley because the team are very close and he feels part of a very supportive team.

Saul's favourite vehicle from the Honda range is the S2000, his dad owned one he was always impressed with the engines power.

In Saul's time away from Honda Barnsley he enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as travelling both in the UK and abroad. In fact Saul has already managed to visit 25 different countries so far, his favourites being Vietnam and Panama.
