How Does the Motability Scheme Work?

At Vantage, we can provide the right Motability vehicle and all the support you need so that you can get behind the wheel of a brand new car with the minimum of fuss in the shortest possible time. The Vantage Motability scheme allows you to lease a new car in return for your Government funded mobility allowance and offers the following benefits:

Step 1 – Check Your Eligibility

Our Motability experts are on hand at each Vantage dealership to help you to check whether you're eligible for the scheme. If you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA), the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP, the Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) then you may be able to join the scheme. Step 2 – Choose a Car

Once you've decided that Motability is for you, it's time to select a suitable car. With a great range of options from four of the country's favourite brands, you'll be spoilt for choice at Vantage. We encourage our customers to visit several of our centres if they're unsure of which car best suits their needs, and our friendly team will relish helping you to draw up a shortlist of great choices.

Our unrivalled product knowledge and years of experience dealing with customers who qualify for the Motability scheme will ensure that we can help you to identify the car which will best suit your needs.


Step 3 – Order Your Car

At Vantage, we will take care of the order and delivery process, placing the order and managing the process of specifying any necessary adaptations. We'll keep you up to date with the progress of your order, and we'll ensure that these have been fitted and tested before you take delivery of your new car.
