Hyundai Stockport are proud to support Walthew House

Hyundai Stockport have chosen to support and Raise awareness for Walthew house. Founded in 1882, Walthew House are a independent local charity in Stockport supporting people who are Blind, Visually impaired, Deaf or hard of hearing.

Across the year members of Hyundai Stockport will be taking part in various challenges to help raise money for Walthew house, an example of these challenges are the Velocity Zipline and Trafford Centre abseil.

As well as supporting them by raising money, they are also working with Walthew house to make sure that any customers with a sensory loss are supported doing the car sales and servicing process.

Velocity Charity Zip Line

On Saturday the 23rd July a few of our team members will be taking on the worlds fastest Zipline!

Arriving at Zip World in Bathesda, North Wales they will be faced with Velocity, which also has the title of the longest Zipline in Europe as well as the fastest in the world. Velocity is just under mile long and its challengers will fly over the landscape head first at speeds over 100mph!

The Zipline journey starts in the mountains until it reaches a cliff, then continues over the quarry lake 500ft below. If the weather is really good and visibility clear you can sometimes see all the way to Ireland.

Will our brave challengers be able to complete this challenge?

Abseil off the Trafford Centre

Our Sales team also need a head for heights for this challenge as on the 17th September they will be faced with Abseiling off the tower at the Trafford Centre.

With a height of 60m/196 feet, the Towers is an iconic feature of the Trafford centre.

Participants will feel the breeze across their face as they step out onto the roof, and after getting strapped in and waiting their turn the adrenaline rush of stepping off the roof to begin their descent.
