'The Vantage Food Bank Project'

Vantage Motor Group Launches the Vantage Foodbank Project to Support Local Communities

Last December, we ran the first 'Vantage Food Bank Project’, which was supported generously by our team members and customers. Thanks to your efforts, the Vantage centres were able to donate over £1,000 worth of food and essentials to the food banks in our local communities in Yorkshire and Lancashire. You can find out more details about the success of The Vantage Food Bank Project 2021 here.

Unfortunately, there is still concern around the rapid growth in the number of food banks and the number of emergency food parcels that are distributed. The coronavirus pandemic has accelerated this increase, as statistics from The Trussle Trust show a 33% increase in the number of 3-day emergency food parcels distributed in 2020-21 (source House of Commons Library), and The Independent Food Aid Network experienced a rise of 110% through February - November 2020 compared to the previous period (source IFAN).

We feel it is more important than ever to look after those most vulnerable in our communities, and this year The Vantage Food Bank Project will run until the end of January.

'Over 90% of the food distributed by food banks is donated by the public'

The Trussel Trust

What can I donate?

  • Cereal
  • Soup
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Pasta sauce
  • Lentils and beans
  • Tinned meat
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tea/coffee
  • Tinned fruit
  • Biscuits
  • UHT milk
  • Fruit juice

Food banks also accept essential non-food items like toiletries and hygiene products.

Over 90% of the items distributed by food banks are donated, so together we can really make a difference. We will be accepting donations at all 14 of our dealerships until the end of January 2022 and anything you can give, big or small, would be very appreciated.

Thank you for your support.
