Vantage Coast to Coast

Between the 12-13th August, four members from Vantage Motor Group will be embarking on a coast-to-coast bike ride for charity. Over the course of two days, our riders will be covering 200 miles and reach an elevation of 350m. They will be starting off in Morecambe before travelling down the coast to Citroën Blackpool and then cycling across Lancashire to spend the night in Wakefield.

On day two, our team will be cycling up to North Yorkshire before completing the last leg of their challenge, which will conclude at the Scarborough seafront. The riders who are taking part in this challenge are Andrew Mallory, Tim Swindin, Andrew Hunt, and James McGlashan.

We’ve chosen to fundraise for ParalympicsGB. The British Paralympic Association is a registered charity and is responsible for selecting, entering and creating a world class environment for the ParalympicsGB team during the Summer and Winter Games.

It’s known that the achievements of ParalympicsGB athletes have a direct impact on breaking down barriers, shifting perceptions and increasing opportunities for all disabled people. With over 80% of UK adults agreeing that the team’s success can have a positive impact on society.

That’s why the British Paralympic Association are hoping that Tokyo 2020 will be a catalyst for change. A change that allows disabled people live in an equal society. And with your support, ParalympicsGB can continue to inspire a better world for all disabled people.

In addition to supporting the 2020 ParalympicGB team, and future teams, the British Paralympic Association also run initiatives such as Parasport powered by Toyota and encourages local communities to get involved in parasports.

Parasport powered by Toyota is an initiative we feel particularly passionately about and have been able to get involved with in the past. We are honoured to be able to fundraise for the British Paralmpic Association as we have already seen the fantastic difference their work makes to people’s lives in the UK.

This is certainly going to be a difficult challenge for our riders, so any donations you can make, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck to our team and thank you for your support!
