ŠKODA OCTAVIAIntroducing the third-generation ŠKODA OCTAVIA. Building on its iconic predecessor, the new OCTAVIA is among ŠKODA’s sleekest and smartest family cars to date, with a facelifted design and an array of advanced and intuitive driver technologies.
DesignThe new OCTAVIA retains the sophistication of its parent model, but packs an even bolder and distinctive front-end design. ŠKODA has added a lower and more refined bumper section and a well-proportioned split headlight design for an unmistakably modern feel. The car’s broad body, prominent shoulder line and elegantly contoured sides make for a substantial and stylish exterior.
Technology and comfortŠKODA has refined the OCTAVIA’s infotainment system, which is now integrated into a single unit for your ease of use. The trip computer, car stereo and navigation system are all connected to one device, which features intelligent proximity sensors that bring up the screen’s function buttons before your hand makes contact. The car’s Smartlink feature allows you to synchronise your smartphone with the car at all times – run apps, play your favourite music and receive navigation instructions, all from a single display.
PerformanceThe new OCTAVIA is available with an excellent range of petrol and diesel engines. The entry-level S and SE trims are available with either a 113bhp 1.0-litre petrol or a 108bhp 1.6-litre turbo diesel, and balance keen performance and fuel economy. The range-topping vRS comes with a formidable 216bhp 2.0-litre petrol and is easily the pick of the OCTAVIA’s engine line-up. For even greater fuel efficiency, go for the 1.6-litre diesel, which generates an environmentally friendly 99g/km of emissions.
Safety and securityWith the new OCTAVIA’s updated intelligence assistance systems, you’ll be alert to any emerging hazards in plenty of time. ŠKODA’s Intelligent Light Assistant monitors the light levels as you drive and automatically makes any necessary adjustments to your headlights or high beams. The responsive Lane Assist function uses the car’s camera behind the rear-view mirror to warn the driver if the car starts to drift between lanes. Park Assist shoulders the burden of difficult parking manoeuvres by indicating when a space is sufficient for your vehicle, and then assumes control of the steering while you use the pedals.
