THE LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION AND LEXUS PARTNERSHIP

Lexus UK has announced a partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). This collaboration aims to enhance the growth and visibility of the sport across the United Kingdom.

The multi-year agreement positions Lexus as the official automotive partner of the LTA, supporting various initiatives aimed at increasing participation in tennis at all levels. The national teams competing in the Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup and World Team Cup will be known as the Lexus Great Britain teams. The largest public tennis centre in Britain will be named the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre, and will play host to the Rothesay International and British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships.

The LTA’s Pro Scholarship Programme (PSP), the highest level of support offered to players aged 16-24 with the best chance of reaching the heights of the game, and the final stage of the LTA Player Pathway, will become the PSP, presented by Lexus.

As part of the partnership, Lexus will also support the LTA’s grassroots initiatives, providing funding and resources to help develop the next generation of British tennis talent. Community tennis programs, youth coaching, and facility improvements are among the key areas that will benefit from this investment.

Scott Lloyd, Chief Executive of the LTA, said ‘As the governing body of tennis in Great Britain, the LTA’s mission is to open up tennis and grow the game at a grassroots level as well as to support the development of talented players to the top of the game. This is a significant partnership, that incorporates many areas of our performance development as well as engaging fans and participants.”

Both organizations are optimistic that this collaboration will not only elevate the profile of British tennis but also inspire more people to pick up a racket and enjoy the sport. This alliance between Lexus UK and the LTA represents a dynamic fusion of sport and luxury, promising a bright future for tennis enthusiasts across the country.

If you are part of a local tennis club we would love to hear from you, as Lexus Leeds and Preston are always looking to create partnerships in the local area to bring this national partnership to the local area.
