Vantage Sponsor Annual Charity Day

North Cliff Golf Course Welcome Teams on 30th June

Getting involved:

At Vantage we like to get involved in local community events and to support charities where possible.

We are long-standing supporters of local hospice care and have a strong relationship with St Michael’s Hospice in Harrogate so when The Scarborough & District Fundraising Group approached us to ask us to sponsor their Marie Curie event in Scarborough it was very easy decision for us to make.

Our Scarborough Toyota and Scarborough Kia centres have stepped up yet again and are getting involved. We are the main sponsors for the day and each centre will send a few of our team to support the event. We'll also have some of our favourite models from each manufacturer there you to have a look around.

What do Marie Curie do?

Marie Curie nurses offer free nursing care to people with terminal illnesses. Marie Curie nurses make it possible for people to be cared for in their own homes, generally staying with people overnight although where possible they can be flexible with the hours that they cover.

In Scarborough Marie Curie have partnered with St Catherine’s Hospice and Scarborough & Ryedale CCG which enables them to offer 24/7 care in Scarborough and the surrounding areas.

The crucial work that they do providing end of life and palliative care services during a difficult time for their patients and friends and family is invaluable. We have supported the Marie Curie annual event for a number of years, the work that the hospice and Marie Curie nurses do in the Scarborough area is vital so we're very proud to be able to help this cause in a small way.

More on the event:

Our teams from Toyota and Kia will be at the event and are looking forward to meeting the golfing teams. There will be both a men's and women's tournament and even a junior tournament so plenty of opportunity for people to get involved. The prize presentation will take place in the evening at around 9pm along with entertainment in the club house for people to enjoy, it promises to be a great day and we're excited to see how much we can raise for this great cause.

Last year’s event raised over £7,500 and drew teams from as far away as Huddersfield and Warrington as well as plenty from the local area. The organisers called it a roaring success and we hope to see the same great atmosphere and fantastic fundraising again this year.
