We're taking on Yorkshire's toughest challenge in aid of The Prince's Trust

What are we doing?

An enthusiastic team from Vantage will be setting off this September to tackle the mighty Yorkshire three peaks. In just ten hours our team will scale Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. This route is 24-miles long with 1,585m of ascent. The course is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in the Ribble Valley.

With our company roots originating in Yorkshire, we are huge advocates of the outstanding beauty of the area but our team are hardly going to have time to appreciate their surroundings having set themselves such an ambitious time target.

Our team will be headed up by our Vantage Director's as well as Aftersales Director Dale Baker, Group Financial Controller James McGlashan and Mark Spindley from Toyota Tamworth.. They've all eagerly volunteered to undertake this challenge for such a wonderful charity.

Why are we doing it?

Last year was a big year for Vantage with us reaffirming our commitment to raising money for charity by becoming a Patron of The Prince's Trust.

The Prince's Trust is the leading youth charity in the UK. Their charity has helped more than 825,000 young people, including Dominic Loftus, who spoke at our recent conference. In addition to helping young people find work, they also help them gain access to education and training. This support can really make a difference to young people who may have had a tough start in life, helping them turn their lives around and support their self-development.

We are very proud of our partnership with The Prince's Trust and have lots more activities planned that we hope in time will make a difference to young people across the UK.

When are we doing it?

Our team will be undertaking their challenge on the 15th of September, setting off from Pen-y-ghent at 6:30 am using their famous antique clocking in machine to record their challenge starting time. We're hoping for a mild September but the team will need to be ready for all weathers. There will be a safety car in attendance but once they set off they will be on their own, and with a tricky 10 hour target they've really challenged themselves. We can't wait to see how they get on and see if they can meet their ambitious £10,000 fundraising target.
