Honda is embracing the European commitment to a reduction in pollution with its pledge to sell only electrified cars by 2025. Its research and development work has already resulted in the creation of an advanced charging system, and the 2019 Geneva Motor Show saw it introduce the Honda e Prototype, a production model which is due towards the end of 2019.

The Honda CR-V is one of the brand’s first vehicles to boast a hybrid powertrain, combining a petrol engine with two electric motors. These motors are powered by the engine and provide an on-demand electrical boost when you need it, with any excess power being used to recharge the batteries. The intelligent Multi Mode Drive (i-MMD) seamlessly switches between Electric Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive, selecting the best and most efficient way to harness the energy on offer.
