Kia 7 Year Warranty Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

What is actually covered?

Close

Most parts and components are covered for the full 7-year period, with the exclusion of some items that have a naturally limited durability. Those which are covered for less than seven years include parts such as wiper blades and clutch linings, as well as:

  • Car battery (2 years)
  • Audio system (3 years/60,000 miles)
  • Car paint (5 years/100,000 miles)

For all other items, the parts and labour costs are covered by the warranty.

Can I transfer the warranty to the next owner when I sell my car?

Close

Yes, the warranty is fully transferable to any subsequent drivers over the 7-year period.

Why is Kia the only manufacturer to offer a fully transferable 7-year/100,000 mile warranty?

Close

Each Kia model is extensively tested to ensure it meets exacting standards of reliability and durability. The manufacturer has invested in high-quality production facilities and techniques, thereby enabling them to be confident that each car can go the distance. The 7-year warranty is a reflection of this confidence.

What is the catch?

Close

Fortunately, there’s no catch. Drivers can be assured there are no nasty surprises – the Kia warranty is just like a standard 3-year one, only longer!
