The new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid: Change is Good

Toyota invented the compact SUV when it released the first RAV4 in 1992. Building on a strong heritage, now the spirit for go-anywhere adventures has new meaning with the addition of the new RAV4 Hybrid to the range. Now available to buy, the RAV4 Hybrid joins the 8 million hybrid cars Toyota has sold worldwide since 1997.

Featuring Toyota's full hybrid technology with an impressive 2.5 litre petrol engine and electric motor, the new RAV4 Hybrid offers class-leading economy and is the first mid-sized hybrid to be available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The clever E-four all-wheel drive uses a second electric motor that is mounted directly between the rear wheels, providing extra traction whilst saving space. This also results in an impressive towing capacity of up to 1,650 kg, one of the highest of any hybrid vehicle.

The RAV4 Hybrid has a sleek look with new colour choices and a refreshed, high quality interior trim. And like every RAV4, there's bags of storage space and comfortable seating for five people. Interior sensory quality has been improved with a new 4.2-inch colour multi-information display in the instrument binnacle offering the driver information including navigation instructions, energy usage, vehicle information and more. It's all coordinated with the central Toyota Touch 2 display and the RAV4 Hybrid will also be available with the new Toyota Safety Sense Technology.

So whether you drive in town or like to venture further afield, the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid makes perfect sense wherever you like to adventure.
